Happenings at Our Lady of Mercy

TODDLER TIME Toddlers two years old and older are invited (along with an adult) to play in the parish gym on November 17th, December 1st, 8th, and 15th from 9:00-10:30am. Free of charge!

GIVING TREE: As we begin the season of Advent and begin our preparations for Christmas, we also continue a long tradition of helping others in need. Gift tags will be available the weekend of November 25 & 26. Stop in church and pick a tag off the Giving Tree to help an individual or family have a happy and joyful Christmas.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Our Lady of Mercy and St. Brigid Parishes will be sponsoring a family-centered, fun-filled afternoon on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Genesee County Park There will be (weather permitting) sledding, cross-country skiing, snow painting and a snowman building contest. Refreshments included!!

THURSDAYS: Eucharistic Adoration resumes following the 8:00am Mass concluding at 6:30pm with Evening Prayer and Benediction.

ADULT CLASSES: Fr. Michael’s scripture class meets every Tuesday at 9:00am and 7:00pm. Fr. Justin’s class on the Church History is every Wednesday at 10:00am. These classes are held at Our Lady of Mercy Parish Center. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

ROSARY FOR THE END OF ABORTION: Every Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. the Mercedarian Third Order prays the Rosary for the end to abortion, world peace and for the sick or distressed of our parish. Everyone is invited to participate.

THE HOLY ROSARY is prayed Monday through Friday at 6:30 a.m. and on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Please consider coming to Mass early to pray the Rosary with your fellow parishioners.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION is every Thursday at the St. Peter’s Worship Site opens after the 8:00 am Mass and closes at 6:30 pm with evening prayer and Benediction. Please take a moment to stop in the Church during adoration and spend some time in prayer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


St. Brigid’s Happenings

RECYCLED TEENS will gather together on Thursday, December 7th at 9:00am for Mass. Recycled Teens will celebrate the season at Madeline’s Restaurant for their Annual Christmas Party. Those wishing to join the fun are asked to sign up at church or they may call Barb Stein at 494-1796.

LADIES OF CHARITY will be having their annual Advent Sale at the back of the church after Masses on Nov. 18-19, Nov. 25-26, and Dec. 2-3. Items for sale include Advent calendars, Advent candles, ornaments, guardian angel car charms, and mini prayer card inserts.

BOOK CLUB will next meet at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, November 28th to discuss The Advocate's Daughter by Anthony Franze and Rediscover Jesus Chapters 28-30. All are welcome to enjoy our discussion and refreshments. (We do not meet in December.)

FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY: Saturday, December 2nd following the 5:00pm Mass. There will be singing Christmas carols, cookie decorating, crafts, and refreshments. This party is hosted by the Ladies of Charity. Those wishing to attend should sign up at the back of the church or contact Regina Smith 494-1131.

THE HOLY ROSARY is recited a half hour before each weekend Mass at St Brigid Parish. Saturday Rosary is recited beginning at 4:30pm and Sunday Rosary is recited beginning at 8:30am. Please join your fellow parishioners in praying the Rosary.
