Happenings at Our Lady of Mercy

NEW BEGINNINGS is a social support group open to both men and women who have lost a loved one. We will meet for lunch on Wednesday, August 9 at the Capish! Restaurant at 49 Main Street in Le Roy at 11:30 a.m. Please call Norma Kelly 494-0301 by Monday August 7 to make a reservation.

ADULT CLASSES: Fr. Michael’s scripture class meets every Tuesday at 9:00am and 7:00pm. Fr. Justin’s class on the Church History is every Wednesday at 10:00am. These classes are held at Our Lady of Mercy Parish Center. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

ROSARY FOR THE END OF ABORTION: Every Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. the Mercedarian Third Order prays the Rosary for the end to abortion, world peace and for the sick or distressed of our parish. Everyone is invited to participate.

THE HOLY ROSARY is prayed Monday through Friday at 6:30 a.m. and on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Please consider coming to Mass early to pray the Rosary with your fellow parishioners.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION is every Thursday at the St. Peter’s Worship Site opens after the 8:00 am Mass and closes at 6:30 pm with evening prayer and Benediction. Please take a moment to stop in the Church during adoration and spend some time in prayer.   EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Thursday Adoration will resume September 7th.

MAGNIFICAT ROCHESTER (a ministry to Catholic Women) invites all women to a break-fast on Saturday, September 9th; seating begins at 8:30 a.m.- program starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 12 Noon at the Diplomat Banquet Cen-ter, 1 Diplomat Way, (off Lyell Ave) Gates. Confessions will be heard at 8 a.m. and again at the end of the program. Our speaker is Mary Kay Schaub. She is a widow and mother of five who in her early 20’s experi-enced the Baptism in the Holy Spirit which energized her faith, strengthened her commitment to the Church, and gave her a lasting peace and joy that accompanies her through her life. PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN WORKSHOP will be available in our area. If you volunteer with youth in our parish, we encourage you to attend this workshop. A workshop is available on September 7 at 6:00pm at St. Michael in Warsaw and again on September 19 at 6:00pm at Ascension in Batavia. To register go to http://www.buffalodiocese.org. Third Option Program helps you to find the joy in your marriage and live a happier, healthier life together. This is a skills-based workshop. St. Brigid’s Happenings

RECYCLED TEENS will gather for 9:00am Mass on Thursday, August 17th. Following Mass there will be a short meeting in the parish hall. The Recycled Teens will go the Brockport to tour the Morgan Manning House and have lunch at the Mill House. Sign up sheet is at church

HOLY HOUR: Wednesday evening Holy Hour at St. Brigid’s is discontinued for the summer months. Holy Hour will resume in September.
