“Battle Ready”

For those who attended the “Battle Ready” sessions and are interested in becoming a leader for our new evangelization mission, “The 99 Experience,” we will be offering a 6-session Master Class from 6:45-8:00pm at the parish center on the following 99Thursdays:

CATHOLIC CHARITIES: The 2020 Catholic Charities Appeal has begun. You should have received your Appeal letter in the mail. You may send your donation or pledge to Our Lady of Mercy or the Catholic Charities office in Buffalo. We will also be collecting in the church during our parish campaign beginning in the middle of March. Please be as generous as possible! Thank you for your continued support of Catholic Charities.

THE GREAT ADVENTURES BIBLE STUDY-will resume on Tuesday, February 25th. See bulletin insert for more details. This is *PA-GHU.

CATHOLIC APOLOGETICS is Thursday, February 27th at 9:00 am and 7:00pm in the St. Joseph Room.

TODDLER TIME-Toddlers two years old and older are invited (along with an adult) to play in the parish gym on February 28th from 9:00-10:30am. Free of charge!
Wednesday evening “Lenten Soup Supper and Study” will begin on March 4th. See the enclosed flyer for details Winner need not be present to win these cash raffles.

TUITION ASSISTANCE FOR PRIVATE GRAMMAR SCHOOLS: The BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to economically eligible children entering Kindergarten-8th grade throughout the eight counties of Western New York. The BISON Fund’s Scholarship pre-application is now available for NEW families for the 2020-21 school year. If selected, the scholarships can be used at any private grammar school in WNY. The deadline to apply is February 28. You can apply online at www.bisonfund.com or call 716-854-0869.

SAINT MOTHER TERESA OUTREACH PROGRAM is scheduled for Saturday, March 7th from noon–2:00 pm at Our Lady of Mercy Parish Center 44 Lake Street, LeRoy, NY.

RECYCLE FOR LOVE BUGS: Your refund for can and bottle deposits can help our children at Love Bugs Pre-school. Take your empty bottles and cans to Mickel’s Nickels, 80 Lake Street, LeRoy and tell them you would like the money to go to Love Bugs Preschool. It is that easy! We thank you now, and the children will thank you later!

ROSARY FOR THE END OF ABORTION: Every Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. the Mercedarian Third Order prays the Rosary for the end to abortion, world peace and for the sick or distressed of our parish. Everyone is invited to participate.

THE HOLY ROSARY is prayed Monday through Friday at 7:00 a.m. and on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Please consider coming to Mass early to pray the Rosary with your fellow parishioners.

St. Brigid’s Happenings

ADORATION SUNDAY: Sunday, March 1st is the next St. Brigid Adoration Sunday. There is a sign up sheet on the table in the back of Church. This is a perfect opportunity to spend some time with Jesus this Lent. You can sign up for as little as 15 minutes or as long as you would like. Adoration begins right after Mass. The St. Michael Prayer Warriors will he praying from 1:15-2:00 and the Rosary for Our Nation group will be praying from 2:00-3:00. Adoration will end with Benediction.

SOUP SUPPER FOR ASH WEDNESDAY: Our annual Soup Supper will be held in the St. Brigid Church Hall on Ash Wednesday, February 26, following the 5:00pm Mass. Please join us for this simple meal as we begin our Lenten journey.

At their meeting on March 2nd at 7:00pm, SHARE A YARN will be replenishing the supply of Prayer Squares found at the back of the church at both St. Brigid’s and OLM. These tiny squares with a cross in the middle can be placed in your pocket or purse for a constant reminder that “Wherever you are, God is…and ALL is well."

Ascension Parish will host “Life of the Beloved” Retreat March 5, 6, & 7, 2020 at the Abbey of the Genesee in Piffard. $125 includes lodging and meals. Registration is due by March 2 and checks may be made payable to Ascension Parish. For more information call Ascension Parish at 585-343-1796.

THE DEACON’S CLOSET is available year round!. The purpose of this ministry is to assist those who cannot afford medically needed equipment to assist with in-home care with items such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, com-modes, etc. If you need the use of items or want to donate, please call 585-813-3588. There is no charge for the use of equipment.
